This year, we will be staggering registration by camp provider type - Partner camps and Arlington County Parks & Recreation camps.

Spring Ephemerals Walk at Windy Run
What are those first flowers of spring? They peek out before the trees have leaves, and while it still feels too cold for the season! Meet one of our naturalist on Sat., Mar. 25 from 10-11:30 a.m. or 1-2:30 p.m. at Windy Run to go for a hike and look for these harbingers of the spring bounty to come. Native Plant Sale
Beautify your yard with gorgeous native plants! A great selection of plants that are accustomed to local climate and wildlife are available for purchase. Orders must be placed by Fri., April 21 at 5 p.m. and will be available for pickup on Sun., April 30 at Long Branch Nature Center. Learn more here.

Families Unplugged: Eric Carle Animals
Come create with us on Sat., April 1 from 10 a.m.-noon at Lubber Run Community Center! Join the expert staff from our Community Arts team as they guide you and your family through a fun animal craft project in the style of Eric Carle. This class is open to all ages but is recommended for ages 3 & up and costs $8 per person. Learn more and sign up here.

Nature Photography for Kids and Teens!
Join us on Sat., April 1 from 1-2:30 p.m. at Gulf Branch Nature Center for some nature photography! After some photography and camera operation tips inside the nature center, we’ll practice taking nature photos outside. Bring a camera of your choice (use your phone camera if you like!). This is a free program for children ages 8 to 13. Learn more and sign up here.

Trailblazing Camp
Get out and get hiking! Leap into spring in the calm of our forests, exploring the paths and waterways of Northern Arlington on Mon., April 3 to Fri., April 7 from 9 a.m.-2:30 p.m. at Gulf Branch Nature Center. Climb waterfalls, catch fish and invertebrates, and hike along the Potomac River. Each day we will hike somewhere new, bring sturdy shoes and clothes that can get wet and muddy. This program is for ages 10-13 and costs $220. Learn more and sign up here.
Red Cross Babysitting Class
Teens and tweens, join us for our monthly babysitting class! Get the knowledge and skills necessary to safely and responsibly give care for children and infants at the next class on Mon., April 3 from 9 a.m.-4 p.m. at Arlington Mill Community Center. $85 per person. Learn more and sign up here.

Parent’s Night Out
