West Columbia Pike, Ballston Metro Get Transit Improvements
This week marked the completion of two major transportation projects: Segment H & I of the Columbia Pike Multimodal Street Improvements Project and the Ballston Multimodal Improvements Project. Both bring a more seamless connection to transportation methods in Arlington for residents, commuters and visitors.

New Studio for Arlington Independent Media
Arlington Independent Media, which provides video instruction and broadcast access to the Arlington community, will have a new satellite location at Arlington Arts’ 3700 South Four Mile Run Drive location to expand cultural and arts opportunities in the County.

Click It or Ticket: The Arlington County Police Department (ACPD) is teaming up with the U.S. Department of Transportation’s National Highway Traffic Safety Administration (NHTSA) to help keep travelers safe this Thanksgiving holiday, working toward reducing the number of fatalities that occur when motorists fail to buckle up. In addition, check out these transportation safety tips from ACPD as part of the Fall 2022 Street Smart Campaign.

Improvements Underway for Boundary Channel Drive

 Construction is underway to make improvements to the Boundary Channel Drive Interchange, which will improve traffic flow and make travel safer and less constricted for drivers. Watch the video and learn more about the project.
- Arlington County officials and staff joined the opening celebration of the Washington Metropolitan Area Transit Authority’s (WMATA) long-awaited Silver Line Extension on Nov. 15. With this extension, Metrorail now serves 97 stations in Virginia, Maryland and D.C.
