Meet Your New County Virtual Private Network
Global Protect is the new VPN remotely installed on all DES County laptops (as of Oct.17). A VPN masks the machine's internet protocol (IP) address so that your online actions are private, anonymous and virtually untraceable. Global Protect takes the place of the BIG IP F5 VPN most staff had been using. Global Protect is an “always on” solution so you do not have to manually activate it. At this point, the BIG IP F5 VPN should no longer be in use on County machines.
