Election Day is November 8

All Arlington polling places will be open from 6 a.m. to 7 p.m. on Tues., November 8. Be sure to confirm your polling location if you’re voting on Election Day. Early voting is open until Sat., November 5, at three locations.

Arlington's Holiday Giving Program Now Open

You can make the holiday season a little happier for some of Arlington’s most vulnerable residents by taking part in the Holiday Giving Program. Learn more about how it works, who it helps, and how to participate.

• Arlington County Public Health Division’s clinic at Sequoia Plaza is offering FREE COVID-19 primary series vaccines for anyone 6 months and older and boosters to anyone 5 years and older. Walk-in or schedule an appointment.
• Get tested for COVID-19 at no cost at one of the County’s walk-up kiosks. Rapid at-home tests are also available at pharmacies throughout Arlington.

• The Future of Outdoor Dining (FOOD) Study feedback form closes today. Share your thoughts on temporary outdoor seating areas and general outdoor dining to help inform Arlington’s rules and regulations going forward.
• The feedback period for public comments on a proposed Ranked Choice Voting method ends today. Share your thoughts on this pilot voting method for the 2023 County Board June primary election.
• Should alcohol be allowed at special events in Long Bridge Park and Penrose Square? Tell us what you think through November 6.
• Provide your input through November 6 on the Crystal City to Reagan National Airport Multimodal Connection (CC2DCA) that proposes a safe and convenient way to reach the airport.
• Share your thoughts on a specific set of questions about what is proposed in the Plan Langston Boulevard Preliminary Concept Plan through November 11.
• Submit your comments on two action plans that identify bacterial and manufactured chlorinated pollutants and outline strategies to reduce their presence in the County’s water sources through November 15. 
• Share your feedback on three pilot safety projects, part of the Vision Zero Action Plan to eliminate severe and fatal crashes involving pedestrians, through November 20.
• Two design concepts have been created for the 2700 South Nelson Street site. View the designs and tell us what you think through November 21 to shape the future temporary creative open space.

• Don't toss your post-Halloween pumpkins in the trash! Bring them in for composting at the Free Paper Shredding and Inert Material Drop-Off, starting at 8 a.m. on Sat., November 5.
• Celebrate Native American Heritage Month with Arlington Public Library and learn about Indigenous artist Maria Martinez and her pottery on Sat., November 5, at 10:30 a.m.
• Attend free Until Help Arrives training on Thurs., November 10, and learn to save lives in emergencies while waiting for first responders.
• Prepare for leaf collection starting November 14! Find out how and when leaf vacuum trucks will be in your neighborhood and make sure to pick up your free paper yard waste bags at one of six locations throughout the County.
• Join Arlington County Foster Parent Services on Tues., November 15, at 6:30 p.m. for a virtual information session to learn about the requirements to become a foster parent in Arlington.
• Want to learn more about working for Arlington County? Find out about public service careers at Arlington County's Career Expo on Wed., November 16, at 4 p.m.
• Eight fast-growing Arlington companies were honored this week at Arlington Economic Development's inaugural REV Awards to recognize their exceptional growth in revenue, employment and venture capital.

Fill the Cruiser Holiday Toy Drive

Help spread joy this holiday season during the 8th Annual Fill the Cruiser Toy Drive. Starting today, November 4, Arlington County Police Department will be accepting donated, new and unwrapped toys to ensure the holidays are bright for some of our most vulnerable community members.
