Monday is Labor Day!

Just a friendly reminder that Arlington County offices and facilities will be closed on Mon., Sept. 5 in observance of Labor Day. If you are off, enjoy the long weekend! If you are working, thank you for your service.

Block Party

Block Party Kudos!

The T.E.A.M. team wowed the crowds at the Public Safety Block Party this past weekend! Committee Chair Sgt. Aaron Queen wrote "Desi your crew and the whole DPR staff was amazing!!! I heard so many compliments." DPR doing what DPR does best - bringing Arlington to life!

County Fair

Good Vibes for All at the Fair

Did you catch the annual Arlington County Fair Aug. 17-21 at TJ? It was lots of fun that attracted a record 120K+ crowd over five days. Shout out to Kasey Spriggs, Andrew Knapik and the Trades team for making TJ look so beautiful and April Rosenthal and Cat Trovato for the inaugural debut of the Sensory Break-Area Tent and helping to mastermind the new Sensory-Friendly Hour, of which a participant said "The sensory hour at the county fair was amazing! It was such a wonderful experience for [my child] and me! There were many children and parents that I observed comfortably accessing the fair because of the special hour. Thank you for all you and your team do to make Arlington such an accessible city." And extra special thank you to Laura Barragan who does more for the County Fair and its nonprofit Board (yup, the Fair isn't managed by the County) than you can imagine.Go LB!
