2022 Arlington County Fair Kicks Off August 17

The 2022 Arlington County Fair, one of the area’s largest free summer events, takes place August 17-21. The Thomas Jefferson Community Center and Park will be transformed for five days into a space of fun activities including cotton candy eating, Ferris-wheel riding, goat yoga posing, and more.

County Board to Host Conversations on Missing Middle Housing

The Arlington County Board will host a series of community conversations and information sessions in September and October that will help inform the next steps on Missing Middle Housing. These conversations include three live virtual sessions where community members can send questions in advance.

Traffic Pattern Changes Coming to Columbia Pike

Starting Mon., August 15, there will be new traffic patterns on Columbia Pike between South Wakefield Street and South George Mason Drive. This project will move existing utilities underground to provide more reliable service, upgrade sidewalks to provide a better pedestrian experience, and add transit stations to improve bus operations.

  • Getting a booster dose is an important step in protecting yourself and your loved ones from COVID-19. Find out if you're eligible for a dose at one of the County's COVID-19 vaccine clinics.
  • Is it allergies, a common cold, or COVID-19? Get tested to find out for sure. The County’s Curative kiosks offer no-cost, walk-up testing and are open daily. 
  • Walk-ins and appointments are still available at Arlington Mill and Walter Reed Community Centers for older children, teenagers and adults. Visit the County website for details.
