Dear Residential Permit Parking program customer:

Enforcement of Fiscal Year 2023 RPP materials has now been postponed until Sept.6, the day after Labor Day.

Through Sept. 5, parking enforcement will continue to honor FY22 permits in RPP zones. During enforcement hours beginning on Sept. 6, vehicles must display either FY23 permit materials or an unexpired temporary pass.

This additional month extension is to ensure customers have ample time to complete applications, including making payments on applications submitted and approved. This year’s “renewal period” now reflects the duration in a typical year, roughly three months.

If you have already received FY23 RPP materials and have begun using them, thank you for your participation and please disregard the following:

There is a 4-week turnaround between the submission of an application and expected delivery of materials by mail. But temporary permits can be printed immediately from links found on the payment confirmation page and confirmation email. Temporary permits are good for 45 days.

Requested paper applications are sent with a temporary pass and specific instructions on returning the application by mail.

If you have started an application and need assistance or would like to request a paper version, please email park@arlingtonva.us or call 703-228-3344.

Thank you for your participation and patience in this first year of our new application system.

Sincerely,

The Arlington County Residential Permit Parking Team
