Projects To Watch in 2022
Arlington County has been busy in 2022! From a new stormwater vault to a new fire station to two new parks that just opened, check out some of the Projects to Watch this year.

Permits Now Available Through Permit Arlington
As of June 28, applications for several permits (including building and trade permits) must be submitted online through Permit Arlington. You can find walkthrough videos, FAQs, and more on the Permit Arlington Help webpage to help guide you in the application process.

Fourth of July Holiday Closure
Arlington County Government offices and services are operating on modified schedules for the Independence Day holiday on Mon., July 4. There will also be multiple roadway closures to ensure pedestrian safety during the Fourth of July events and fireworks.

- Arlington County is now offering FREE Pfizer and Moderna COVID-19 vaccines to children as young as 6 months old, by appointment only, at Sequoia Plaza. Visit the County website or go directly to the VAMS portal to schedule an appointment.
- Need a COVID-19 test before or after spending time in crowds over the July 4 weekend? The County’s curative kiosks offer no-cost, walk-up testing. Kiosks are open daily.
- Walk-ins and appointments are still available at Arlington Mill and Walter Reed Community Centers for older children, teenagers, and adults. Visit the County website for details.
- Remember to stay up to date with vaccines, get boosters if eligible, and get tested if you have symptoms.
- Every home in the U.S. is eligible to order a third round of free, at-home COVID-19 tests. Order yours today!

- Provide feedback through July 5 about your experiences on the Arlington Boulevard Trail to help shape the future of this important trail for upcoming projects.
- Share your thoughts on the 2022 Resurfacing Projects for Complete Streets, now through July 6.
- Give your input to the Virginia Passenger Rail Authority through July 10 on priorities for the Long Bridge Project, which will construct a new, two-track railroad bridge next to the existing bridge, creating a four-track corridor.

Continue to share your feedback on Missing Middle Housing recommendations and offer your thoughts on other potential options for the County through July 12.
- Please provide your input to the County’s stormwater program. You can take our 5-minute survey in English or Spanish between now and July 30, or join us for an open house on Sunday, July 17, from 2-4 p.m. at Lubber Run Community Center.

National Night Out is a community-building campaign that promotes safer neighborhoods. Submit your application no later than Friday, July 22, and have your community’s event on the list of 2022 National Night Out locations taking place on Tues., August 2.
