Renovated Jennie Dean Park Reopens
Arlington celebrated the reopening of the newly renovated Jennie Dean Park, an integral part of the Green Valley community for more than 75 years. The park has been transformed into an exciting space that celebrates the neighborhood’s past and cultural heritage while increasing access to recreation and nature. Watch the reopening celebration!

New Name for Neighborhood Conservation Program
After a nearly yearlong renaming process, the County is pleased to announce the new name for the Neighborhood Conservation Program: Arlington Neighborhoods Program. The name change reflects the inclusive nature of the program while continuing its unique grassroots approach to improving and enhancing neighborhoods.

Booster doses for 5-11 year-olds now available: Walk-ins and appointments are available at Arlington Mill and Walter Reed Community Centers* for booster doses for 5-11 year-olds. (Tuesday–Friday, 11 a.m.–7 p.m. Saturday, 9 a.m.–5 p.m.)
- County libraries and community centers are offering free, at-home COVID-19 rapid tests during normal business hours, in addition to the County’s no-cost, no-appointment PCR COVID-19 testing. Limited supply is distributed on a first-come, first-served basis.
- Another round of at-home COVID-19 tests are available. Order yours today!
- Arlington Mill and Walter Reed Community Centers continue to offer free COVID-19 vaccinations by walk-ins and appointments for individuals age 5 and older.
- Everyone should stay up to date with vaccines, get boosters if eligible, and get tested if you have symptoms. Again: even if your symptoms may be due to allergies or other causes, it’s important to get tested to rule out COVID-19.

- Improving the summer camp registration process is one of the Department of Parks and Recreation’s top department-wide priorities. Share your input to help improve the customer experience for Arlington County’s 2023 Summer Camp Registration now through June 6. (Queremos saber su opinión)
