Join us as we celebrate the historical and cultural contributions of Asian Americans and Pacific Islanders in the United States. Throughout the month of May, come and join events in and around the County to commemorate the month.

Echoes of Little Saigon
With the help of Arlington County Public Library and the Center for Local History, Kim O'Connell takes us on a journey through a part of Clarendon once named 'Little Saigon'. She draws on her personal story to tell part of Arlington's history.
The project, “Echoes of Little Saigon,” was made possible with a generous grant from the Virginia Foundation for the Humanities (VFH) and support from Arlington Cultural Affairs, a division of Arlington Economic Development; Arlington’s Historic Preservation Program in the Department of Community Planning, Housing and Development; and the Arlington County Library’s Center for Local History.

 Reporting Hate and Bias-Related Crimes
Arlington is committed to serving our diverse and inclusive community while working to ensure Arlington is a place where all people can live safely and without fear. There is significant community harm caused by hate and bias-related crimes, but a perpetrator cannot be held accountable for their actions if the crime is not reported to law enforcement.
