Coffee with a Cop

Arlington Police Department will hosts their first "Coffee with a Cop" series, beginning April 26. Coffee with a Cop is national program where community members can meet officers, ask questions, and discuss public safety concerns.

Today is Earth Day

In recognition of Earth Day, Arlington is hosting multifaceted events throughout the County to help promote continuous environmental care, sustainability, and improve our planet's health.

• Arlington Mill Community Center and Walter Reed Community Center is still offering free COVID-19 vaccinations by walk ins and appointments for individuals age 5 and older. You can learn more about these clinics here.
• CDC recommends additional boosters for certain individuals. Vaccine eligibility information can be found in the COVID-19 Vaccination Schedules.

• Tune in to the April 2022 County Board Meeting on Sat. April 23, at 8:30 am, and the Recessed Meeting on Tues. April 26, at 3 pm. The Board with discuss Fiscal Year 2023 County Budget, PenPlace Project, Clarendon Sector Plans and more.
• Join the Metropolitan Washington Airports Authority on Wed. April 27 at 6 pm for a A public open house regarding the Master Plan for the Washington Dulles International Airport. 
• Join the Virginia Department of Transportation, on April 28 at 6:30 pm, for the first virtual public meeting for the second phase of the Route 1 Multimodal Improvements Study.
• Provide your feedback for Arlington’s Chesapeake Bay TMDL Action Plan for the 2021-2026 Stormwater Permit cycle, now through April 30.
• Share Your Feedback on South George Mason Drive now through May 1. Tell us what modes of travel feel safest - or less safe, and what would make different segments on this road better.
• Share your thoughts through May 1 with the National Capital Region Transportation Planning Board (TPB) on Visualize 2045, the long-range transportation plan update for the metropolitan Washington region. 
• Join the Dialogues on Race and Equity (DRE) Conversation on May 12 at 7 pm. Hosted by DRE partner, Glencarlyn Civic Association, this virtual community conversation will be an enlightening presentation and conversation about anti-Asian discrimination.

• Learn Latin Dance! Get your moves ready to dance spring and summer away with our Beginners Latin Dance Class for Teens! Learn salsa, merengue, cumbia and bachata every Thursday from 4-5:30 p.m.
• Join the Earth Day community climate action & clean up event on April 23, from 9-noon at Bon Air Park in Arlington.
• The Arlington Teen Summer Job Fair is on Sat. Apr 23, from 10 am to 12 pm.
• SOLOS 2022. Join Arlington Art Center for a reception to celebrate their spring exhibitions!
• Outdoor Family Skate is Back! Come skate with us on select Saturdays this spring – April 23 & 30 and May 14.
• 8th Annual Arlington Festival of the Arts, April 23 & 24 from 10 am to 5 pm. 
• Earth Day Every Fay Festival on Langston Boulevard Sun on April 24 at 12-5 pm.
• Help the County respond to emergencies like the pandemic, floods and storms. Join Arlington's free CERT program! Spring classes start April 27.
• Join "Arlington Springs Into Wellness," a series of events and activities bringing together Arlingtonians to celebrate wellness, healing, and resiliency on April 27.
• Find Your HeART Murals! These three heart-filled murals have been relocated from the Four Mile Run Trail to the Virginia Highlands Park ball fields now through April 28.

Free classes for Arlington's Community Emergency Response Team begin 4/27.
