Arlington’s Annual Spring Cleaning for Water Pipes Begins March 21

Arlington County, the District of Columbia and northeastern Fairfax County will clean out tap water networks starting Monday, March 21, repeating a safe, annual process. Service will continue uninterrupted during the procedure, which runs through May 16. 

County Board Remembers Lives Lost to COVID-19 on Two-Year Anniversary

The County Board invites members of the Arlington community to join them on Saturday, March 19 at 2 pm at Bozman Government Center Plaza in remembering Arlington neighbors who have lost their lives to COVID-19 over the past two years. If you are not able to attend in-person, this will also be live-streamed on YouTube.

County to Receive Federal Funding for Mental Health Mobile Crisis Care

Arlington County is set to receive federal funding for behavioral health mobile crisis care. This is one of ten projects Rep. Don Beyer (D-VA) was able to secure funding for across Virginia’s 8th District.

• The Virginia Department of Health (VDH) is sending text and voice messages to Arlington residents who are eligible for a COVID-19 booster shot. 
• Arlington County no longer requires masks for the public and most employees while inside County government facilities.
• Order your additional at-home COVID test today! Visit covidtests.gov.
• Arlington Mill and Walter Reed Community Centers clinics are still accepting walk ins. Visit Vaccines.gov.
• To limit the spread of COVID-19, follow these steps if you have symptoms, if you test positive, or if you had close contact with someone who is sick.

• Share your thoughts on Arlington’s FY 2023 – FY 2032 Capital Improvement Plan (CIP)! The online feedback opportunity has been extended to March 22 and we need you to tell us how Arlington should invest in major infrastructure for the future. ¿Cómo Arlington debe invertir en grandes infraestructuras para el futuro?
• Community Engagement Forum on Aging on Mar. 21, 9:30 am.
• Come register and participate to help Arlington County create a Marcus Alert behavioral health crisis response system. Focus groups to meet on March 23 and 24.
• Join Arlington County police department on Mar. 26, at 11 am, for Practices Police Interactions. This is an opportunity for people with disabilities and their loved ones to practice traffic stops with Arlington County Police officers.
• Help Arlington’s Vision Zero team learn more about local transportation safety issues and challenges by participating in Arlington’s 1st Annual Safety Feedback Form. Open now through March 28. The form is also available in Spanish, Amharic, Arabic, Mongolian, and Chinese.
