Arlington Celebrates the Cherry Blossom Festival!

Blossom Kite Festival at Virginia Highlands

Come to Virginia Highlands Park on Sat., March 26, 10 a.m.-1 p.m. for a day of fun for the whole family as we celebrate Arlington’s own Blossom Kite Festival! Enjoy live entertainment, inflatables, art projects, games, food trucks, and, of course, kite flying! Free kite kits will be handed out to the first 100 attendees. No registration required. Decorate for Cherry Blossom Season! 

Get into the spring spirit and decorate your porch, yard or balcony for the Cherry Blossom Festival. Petal Porches encourages area residents to decorate a porch, yard, sidewalk, window, or something else visible from the street or sidewalk for a chance to win special cherry blossom prizes. To enter, sign up online by March 16. Be creative with your porch name and when describing your display. Even better, get your neighbors to register to compete for Best Blossom Block! Mask

New Mask Guidance

Arlington County no longer requires masks for the public and most employees while inside County government facilities, including our community centers and facilities, so long as Arlington is in the “Low” level. Learn more here.


The Spring ENJOY Arlington Catalog is Here!

We are excited to provide you with recreation, nature and history programs this spring! Explore our spring catalog here! Registration for Arlington residents begins Wed., March 16.

 

Online registration will be staggered:

  • 7 a.m. for gymnastics classes
  • 7:30 a.m. for aquatics classes
  • 8 a.m. for all other classes 

Phone-In registration begins at noon on Wed., March 16. Call us at 703-228-4747. Arlington residents can also come by Lubber Run Community Center at noon to register. Registration for people who don't live in Arlington starts on March 25 at 8 a.m.

Get outdoors and help Arlington restore its natural spaces. Join this popular project for individuals, families, service clubs and school groups and have fun!

2022 Spring Garden Kickoff

Join Arlington Friends of Urban Agriculture at Central Library on Sat., March 12 from 10 a.m.-2 p.m. for their annual Spring Garden Kickoff event, "Growing Together: Let's Dig In!"
