Masks Optional in County Facilities

Effective Thursday, March 3, 2022, Arlington County will no longer require masks for the public and most employees while inside County government facilities.

This decision follows new guidance from the CDC, which determined Arlington County's Community Level is currently “Low,” meaning individuals may choose to wear a mask based on personal preference and level of risk of developing severe illness.

VDH Isolation & Quarantine Calculator

VDH has launched a new online tool to help individuals who have tested positive for COVID-19 calculate their isolation and quarantine period.

VDH to Send Texts/Calls Reminding to Get Boosters

If you were vaccinated against COVID-19 more than five months ago and have not yet received a booster, the Virginia Department of Health (VDH) may send you a voice or text message reminding you to make an appointment. The message will read, “Virginia Department of Health records indicate you are eligible for a Booster COVID-19 vaccine. To schedule an appointment visit www.vaccines.gov or call (877) 829-4682. Please disregard this message if you have already received your Booster.” The message will also be sent in Spanish.

VDH recommends individuals who are 12 and older receive booster doses of the COVID-19 vaccine. Find a location near you at vaccines.gov, or walk-in to one of the County's two vaccine clinics
