Arlington Measuring Community Satisfaction

Arlington County is conducting a community survey to measure satisfaction with major County services. To encourage participation, randomly selected residents will receive a phone call, postcard, social media, email or text message.

Wi-Fi Hot Spots Arlington Public Library

Two new free outdoor Wi-Fi hot spots were installed at the Cherrydale and Glencarlyn Libraries. Library patrons and Arlington residents have 24x7 access to the free Arlington County Wi-Fi network “ArlingtonWireless” at all branches. 

• New COVID-19 Testing Kiosk at Sequoia Plaza.
• Everyone 12 years and older should get a booster as soon as they’re eligible to be better protected against COVID-19 – visit Vaccines.gov today.  
• To limit the spread of COVID-19, follow these steps if you have symptoms, if you test positive, or if you had close contact with someone who is sick.

• On Feb. 7 at 7 p.m., join the final listening session of the Pentagon City Planning Study before the Sector Plan goes to the County Board later this month. 
• Get updates on the design for the next two segments of Transitway Extension, along 12th Street S. from Long Bridge Drive to S. Hayes St., in a virtual community meeting on Feb. 8. 
• Participate in the third virtual public meeting to review the proposed site plan for Amazon’s HQ2 (PenPlace) on Feb. 10.
• Share your feedback through Feb. 11 on the Gunston Park Playground Renovation before the design process begins.
• Share your feedback on Metro's Fiscal Year 2023 budget and fare service proposals through Feb. 15.
• Attend Metro's first Public Hearing in Arlington, virtually or in person, on Feb. 7.
• Helping Arlington Create a Marcus Alert System - Townhall on Feb. 17 at 6:30 pm. This is to establish specialized protocols for how first responders respond to a crisis related to mental health, substance use, etc.
• High school students can submit their art for the Protect Our [Water] Sources High School Art Contest through Mar. 18.

• Parent Night Out at Lubber Run. Drop off your kids ages 4-10 for an evening of fun and games. Feb. 11 at 6-10pm.
• On Sat., Feb. 12 at 1:30-3:30pm come honor Alma Thomas by creating sponge paintings based on her art.
• Registration for 2022 Summer Camp opens Wed., Feb 23 for Arlington residents.
• Register for Friday Night Teen Sports at Lubber Run on select Fridays from 7-9 pm.
