Social Clubs!

Teens and adults with disabilities are invited to join our social clubs. Each social club offers a variety of activities per month. We are offering lots of new experiences and you do not want to miss outAnnual membership fees are $45 and will include access to club social gatherings and meetings on the first Friday of every month for the program year October- May as well as additional activities throughout the seasons. Some activities may have additional fees. New members will need to complete a meet and greet intake process. Once a member you can register for activities by phone via the registration office at (703) 228-4747 

 

Teens Social Club: Ages 12-17

TR Family Night Out!

The Arlington County TR Office is excited to host monthly fun and exciting recreation events for families that include someone with a disability.  Contact trinfo@arlingtonva.uswith any questions. 

 

Bounce-O-Rama 

Up to three inflatable bounce houses in one fun-filled location. 

Location: Langston Community Center 

Ages: 5+ 

Cost: $3 per person 

Date: Friday, January 21st, 6pm-8pm

Family Movie Night

Spend a Friday evening with us for some family friendly fun. Movies on the Deck with Parks and Rec is back to bringing you an array of movies guaranteed to entertain.

Inclusion Support!

The Therapeutic Recreation Office is committed to supporting individuals in recreation activities by:  

  • Creating and sharing modification plans - Please send a completed Participant Modification Information form to trinfo@arlingtonva.us to start the process, if we don’t already have one on file.    
  • Conducting class and program observations upon request  
  • Supporting instructors and parent/guardians as to how to implement various supports, upon request.

Community Recreation

Paint, Build, Create 

Paint, Build, Create, an annual Science, Technology, Engineering, Art and Math (S.T.E.A.M) event, returns in-person in 2022! Join us on Sat, Jan.15 10am-1:30pm at Fairlington Community Center. Pre-registration for a 1.5 hour time slot will be required. Details and registration links coming soon.

Update: Where can you find us?

We are now all settled into our new offices. You will find the main headquarters for the TR office at the Lubber Run Community Center at 300 N. Park Dr, Arlington, VA 22203. You will also find the Registration office, and even some of our upcoming programs and classes at Lubber Run! Stop by to say hello or walk the beautiful trails at Lubber Run park.
