Did you know community play spaces boost positive attitudes toward cultural diversity and reduce feelings of isolation? Come play with us outdoors! Go check out our calendar for something fun each day of July, which is Parks & Recreation Month.

Come by Lubber Run Community Center! 

It’s open!! Lubber Run Community Center provides programs for tots, youth, adults and seniors including a preschool55+ programs, gym, indoor track, fitness facility and multipurpose rooms for recreation programming and community use. The gym features a multi-use court for volleyball, pickleball and basketball. There is also a customer service center offering class registration, facility reservations, paperwork/form drop-off and processing fee reductions. Send Your Little One to Our Creative Preschool 

Have a child between the ages of 3-5 that would enjoy exploring art, music, literature, science, social studies and nature with other tots? Spots are still available at our nine-month Creative Preschooler programs at Madison. Your child will learn through hands-on exploration of their world in a safe and stimulating setting. Classes run September to May and are half day Even better? It’s at a price you can afford! Wanna Play Field Hockey?

Join us Sundays, 8:30 -10:30 a.m. through Nov. 21 at Washington-Liberty Stadium. Bring your own stick and gear. This is for adult play; all skill levels encouraged to come out! Questions? Contact Greg Anselene.  


Get Fit in our Centers! 

Great news! Reservations are no longer required for our fitness facilities. Even better?  Our new Lubber Run Community Center  has a great new fitness area for people who have a fitness membershipEven better better?  The gym and indoor track at Lubber Run are open to the public – no need for a fitness membership to access the gym and track! 


Rec on Wheels

Rec on Wheels Brings the Fun to You this Summer! 

Unwind and join us for an evening of fun activities in the park with Rec on Wheels this summer! During the first hour you and your family will get creative with exciting arts and crafts projects. Get your wiggles out before bedtime with active movement games during the second hour of the program.  This program runs June 22 through Aug. 12 from 6-8 p.m.  Specific dates and locations listed below. In addition to scheduled vaccine appointments, Arlington has walk in-vaccine clinics with no appointments required. And they are open to all—not just Arlington residents. The schedule will rotate weekly—check out this week’s clinic schedule here.
