In an effort to make access to COVID-19 vaccines even more widely available, Arlington County has opened a new clinic at the Arlington Mill Community Center. The site is open this week Tuesday-Friday, 12 p.m. - 7 p.m., and is offering the Moderna, Pfizer and Johnson & Johnson vaccines to anyone 12 years and older. Simply walk-in, or schedule an appointment.
These Arlington child care providers are offering free child care so parents and caregivers can get vaccinated. Contact the centers directly for details, and then find a vaccine site near you.
Governor Ralph Northam announced 70% of adults 18 years and older in Virginia have now received at least one dose of the COVID-19 vaccine. Virginia is the 16th state in the nation to meet this goal, and reaches the key vaccination milestone two weeks ahead of the nationwide July 4 target.
To date, over 8.8 million doses of vaccine have been administered in Virginia and more than 4.2 million people are fully vaccinated. In Arlington, over 123,000 individuals are fully vaccinated.
