The County Board plans to legally rename US Route 29 as Langston Boulevard in July, but the functional operations (signage, addressing, etc.) of the roadway will be unchanged through the beginning of 2022. No action by residents or businesses is necessary at this time!

Celebrate Freedom on Juneteenth
Juneteenth, celebrated on June 19, 2021, is a national commemoration of African American emancipation. Originating in Galveston, Texas, on June 19, 1865 when the Governor outlawed slavery, it has now spread across the nation as a celebration of African American heritage and culture.

This year, Juneteenth is a new official County holiday, meaning County Government offices and services will be operating on modified schedules on Friday, June 18.
It's three days of the blues! This year, the Columbia Pike Blues Festival is bringing multiple ways to celebrate, with three nights of streamed concerts "Live from the Rug Shop," a downloadable playlist to enjoy at home, and an afternoon of in-person performances!
