Dear Childcare / K-12 Teachers and Staff,

We are aware of the technology issues encountered with the vaccine appointment process on Wednesday and realize some people may not have received one or both emails we sent. We apologize for the issues, and we are working as quickly as possible to address them moving forward.

We share your frustration, as our number one goal is to vaccinate as many people as possible as quickly as vaccine distribution allows.

Working with Arlington Public Schools (APS) and the Arlington County Department of Technology Services (DTS) to resolve the technology issues experienced by some on Wednesday evening, the Arlington County Public Health Department is sharing NEW information about COVID-19 vaccinations and appointments for the initial educator clinics being held Saturday and Monday.

If you are receiving this email, you either did not receive an official appointment or you did not receive one or both emails sent on Wednesday. You are invited to schedule an appointment for available timeslots at the Arlington County Public Health Division clinic specifically for school and childcare program staff. The clinics are being held Saturday, Jan. 16, and Monday, Jan. 18, at 2110 Washington Boulevard.

To schedule a vaccination appointment, follow this Eventbrite link: https://www.eventbrite.com/e/arlington-county-covid-vaccine-appointments-registration-136833706299

Please do not forward this email to friends or family. We are ONLY vaccinating Childcare/K-12 Staff at this time. If you are not in this category, or show up without an appointment, you will be turned away.

If you did not receive an email from the CDC, you will be receiving one with the subject “Please register in VAMS to schedule an appointment.” If you are interested in receiving vaccine, you must complete the registration process using the link in the email.

NOTE: VAMS is not compatible with Internet Explorer – please use a browser such as Edge, Chrome, or Firefox. While you must complete registration in VAMS, please DO NOT schedule an appointment in VAMS – our clinic is not listed.

If you have been unable to successfully schedule an appointment on Eventbrite, you will have other opportunities to make appointments as more vaccine becomes available.

Rest assured: All Arlington Public Schools employee information has been provided to the Public Health Department. We are working to ensure that all APS staff can make an appointment as we receive more vaccine from the state.

As the vaccine becomes more available, instructional staff are encouraged to select a time outside of school hours.

In addition, APS staff can only get the vaccine in Arlington. Staff who attempt to get the vaccine outside of Arlington will be turned away from that site.

We appreciate your continued patience as we work to add additional opportunities as vaccine distribution increases in Virginia.

Thank you,

Arlington County Public Health Division
