Arlington County Upgrading Report-a-Problem Tool
Arlington County VA Government sent this bulletin at 10/23/2020 01:10 PM EDTHello Arlington resident or frequent visitor:
You are receiving this email because at some point you used the County’s Service Request/Report-a-Problem online form or mobile app.
That Service Request/Report-a-Problem tool is being upgraded on Monday, Oct. 26, with a fresh look to make for an improved, streamlined experience. You can still depend on it to report a wide range of nonemergency issues around the County, including broken streetlights, potholes, graffiti and more.
Tool Features:
- Report an issue when you spot one, right from your mobile device — or report it from your desktop at home.
- Sign up to receive text alerts on your request.
- You can submit requests anonymously, however, creating an account has many benefits:
- Track requests and receive updates with a unique tracking ID.
- View all your reported issues.
- Staff can contact you, if necessary, for extra information to help resolve the issue.
- Easily include photos with the service request, providing visual details to the County.
- If GPS and location services are enabled on your mobile device, the exact location of the issue will be submitted (or you can enter the location yourself).
- Online service requests are automatically routed to the right County staff (so you don’t have to know which department handles which issue).
On Monday, Oct. 26, the County’s current mobile Service Request app will be retired but you will be able to seek assistance and report issues easily on the County’s multi-use MyArlington app, available for Apple and Android devices. You can also use our online website: https://topics.arlingtonva.us/reportproblem/.
All previously submitted requests will automatically be transferred to the new system.
If you have any questions about this technology upgrade, please email descommunications@arlingtonva.us.
Thank you for using Arlington’s digital tools and the services they support.
Sincerely,
Arlington County Communications
