Missing Middle Housing Study Kick Off Event

Join us online

  • The Missing Middle Housing Study will explore how new housing types could help address Arlington’s shortfall in housing supply and gaps in housing choices.
  • Key questions to be answered during this study:
    • What housing types are appropriate for Arlington?
    • Where could new types of housing be located?
    • What would the infrastructure and environmental impacts be? How could they be mitigated?
    • How much would new types cost, and what impact would that have on Arlington’s housing market?

On Dec. 7 following permit applications will move to the Permit Arlington online system:  

  • Accessory Dwelling Permit
  • Amusement Device Permit
  • Asbestos Removal Permit
  • Board of Zoning Appeals - Appeal Application
  • Board of Zoning Appeals - Use Permit/Variance Application
  • Building Code Appeal
  • Building Code Modification Application
  • Building Demolition Permit
  • Family/Caregiver Suite Permit

Arlington County Announces Dialogues on Race and Equity

Arlington County launched a new effort to address racial equity and disparities in our community. Called Dialogues on Race and Equity (DRE), the effort is part of the County’s broader commitment to racial equity and follows the County Board’s 2019 equity resolution. Read the complete news release. Also in October, the County accepted a $100,000 donation from Amazon to advance racial equity efforts.
