In preparation for the upcoming storm “Isaias,” residents should properly secure trash, recycling, and yard waste carts in case of flooding and high winds. Bring in carts set out for Tuesday* morning collection once they have been emptied and place them in a safe location. We are monitoring the storm and will provide any updates to the trash and recycling collection schedule, if necessary.

* The storm may cause additional delays in collection services. Please leave un-serviced carts at the curb (if not a flood risk) until they are collected. If carts are not collected by noon on the day after your service day, please call the Contact Center and report a miss (703 228 5000). Customers in high risk areas may want to consider delaying their collection by not setting carts out until next week.

To assist with cleanup and ensure crew safety, we always encourage proper preparation of items for collection and disposal.
