As summer is approaching, we know many families are anxiously awaiting information on Summer Camp 2020. While we hope to operate summer camp this year, the ultimate decision will be based on our ability to operate safely within national and state guidelines, in addition to recommendations from the American Camp Association

A top priority is the health and safety of our community and our employees. We remain busy planning for a safe summer experience for all campers with contingencies for staff protocols, programming and facility cleaning guidelines. These changes in protocols may also result in some camps being canceled or significantly modified. Please bear with us.

During these unprecedented times, we recognize COVID-19 has financially impacted some families. The Department of Parks and Recreation is committed to helping families participate in our programs. Please contact us with any concerns about your payments at or call 703-228-4747.

We appreciate your support and understanding as we adapt to this fluid situation. We know that your family relies on our programs as consistent and crucial resources.

It is important that everyone take personal responsibility and practice social distancing, wear face coverings, and wash your hands frequently.
