Parks, Fields and Playgrounds are Closed

Effectively immediately, all Arlington County/APS parks, fields, playgrounds, restrooms, tracks, dog parks and courts are closed. Signs will be posted at all affected locations. In order to stop the spread of COVID-19, it is important that everyone take personal responsibility and practice social distancing.

APS Closed for the Remainder of Academic Year

Virginia’s Governor Ralph Northam announced this afternoon that all public schools in the Commonwealth will remain closed for the remainder of the school year. Visit APS for the latest guidance going forward for students and parents.

Arlington County Moving to Virtual Inspections

Due to the COVID-19 outbreak, virtual inspections will be the only building-related inspections available until further notice. All others have been postponed.

Virtual inspections are an efficient alternative to in-person inspections, enabling prompt service, productive follow-ups and more specific scheduling. To find out if your inspection qualifies, and for other requirements and process details, visit the County website.
