The County Board voted not to increase the real estate tax rate for Calendar Year 2021. The County Manager’s proposed budget includes increased funding for schools, Metro, housing and public safety, and recommits to shoring up key County infrastructure and services that have been impacted by the County’s leaner budget years. On March 16, we’re celebrating the 100th anniversary of the naming of Arlington County (with birthday cake!). Also celebrating its centennial is the 19th Amendment, which guarantees women the right to vote. In March, as part of Women’s History Month, Central Library is celebrating with the Women’s Work: Then & Now exhibition, kicking-off with an Opening Reception and Author Talk with Liza Mundy on March 5.
