Permit Arlington Is Launching on Sept. 9, 2019

Permit Arlington, the County’s new online permitting system for land development activities, will move permit applications from paper to online. The new system will be implemented in two phases.

  • Phase I will move more than 30 permit types from paper to online processing
  • Phase II, which will bring the remaining permits online, is anticipated in 2020. Phase II permits will continue to be processed through current options.

In addition to the new online permitting system, Permit Arlington includes:

  • A centralized space for in-person customer visits
  • An updated website for permitting activities that will go live as part of Phase I

Both physical and virtual spaces aim to achieve a transformative customer experience.
