New Zoning Process: Additional Sink Affidavit

Beginning February 1, 2019, homeowners installing a new sink in their dwelling unit (outside of a bathroom or existing kitchen) will be required to submit an Additional Sink Affidavit to the Zoning Division. The affidavit replaces and streamlines the now-discontinued Sink Notification Letter. Applicants can submit via ePlan or in-person at 2100 Clarendon Boulevard, 10th Floor. The purpose of the affidavit is to ensure that installation of an additional sink does not result in the creation of an additional dwelling unit where it is not allowed.

The filing fee of  $30 (plus a 5% automation enhancement fee) remains the same and will be assessed as part of the associated building permit plan review.
