Business Process Updates, Reminders and Improvements

Zoning Permit Applications and Forms

County permitting teams have been working to improve the applications and forms to make them more user-friendly and accessible. The enhancements include: plain language content, easy-to-understand filing instructions, embedded direct links to submission requirements and fees information on the County website, and easy to complete PDF fillable format.

Check out the first series of improved applications and forms:

  • Accessory Dwellings: a permit for a second dwelling with kitchen, bathroom, and separate entrance on a single family lot.
  • Accessory Homestays: a permit for online booking platforms such as Airbnb, Craigslist or Vacation Rentals by Owner (VRBO).
  • Family or Caregiver Suites: a permit for a type of secondary dwelling intended to allow the occupants of the suite to live independently while still maintaining access with the main dwelling.
  • Telecommunications: a permit for a telecommunications facility as defined as the aggregate of equipment, electrical networks, utilities and supporting structures at a site used to transmit or relay telecommunications signals.
