Construction Update: Clark Street demolition

Since the Clark Street roadway permanently closed on Feb. 5, crews have been making preparations for the start of demolition. 

During the next week, barriers will be placed on the northbound shoulder of Route 1 between 20th and 15th Streets, adjacent to the project site. There will be no lane closures at this time.

Barriers also will be placed on 14th Road South (between 12th and 15th Streets). As a result, there may be adjustments to the lanes on this street, but drivers will still be able to use both directions of 14th Road.

Final day to provide feedback on proposed changes for Army Navy Drive

The County is moving forward on a project to re-build Army Navy Drive within the existing right-of-way as a multimodal complete street featuring enhanced bicycle, transit, environmental and pedestrian facilities.

At a workshop on Jan. 31, Transportation staff presented renderings and plans of the proposed design. Materials from the event are available on the project page.
