July APCYF Meeting - Join Us!

Our next meeting is scheduled for July 19th 6:00 – 8:00pm at Quincy Park.

This is our annual pot luck meeting/picnic for food and fun – a great opportunity to get to know us!

Friends and family are invited to join us as well – the more the merrier!

1021 N. Quincy St, Arlington, VA 22201 | Behind the Central Library – Shelter is close to Washington Blvd and N. Nelson Street.

RAIN/EXCESSIVE HEAT LOCATION: Sequoia Lower Level Auditorium, 6:00 – 8:00pm.

An e-mail will be sent by 4:00 on July 19th with location update.

WHAT TO BRING:

• Main Dish
• Side Dish
• Dessert
• Ice Tea/Lemonade
• OR if you prefer to donate $5 - $10 towards a main dish, RSVP by Tuesday, July 10

Don't Leave Kids in Cars.

Left along in a vehicle, even for a short time, a child is in danger of heat stroke, injury, abduction or death.

Look before you lock:

• Place your purse, briefcase or other personal item in the back with the child, sot serve as an additional reason to look in the back seat.
• Remember to use the drive-through convenience offered by banks, dry cleaners, pharmacies, and other service providers.
• Pay at the pump at gas stations.
• Leave your pets at home.

Join Us to learn about ACEs and Resilience!

Resilience Movie July 20 at 6:00 p.m. Resilience is a documentary film that delves into the science of Adverse Childhood Experiences (ACEs) and a movement to treat and prevent toxic stress. This film chronicles the work among pediatricians, therapists, educators, and communities who are using brain science to disrupt the cycles of violence, addiction and disease.
