Utah's salmon are migrating — come see them at two free events!

Autumn brings a lot of beautiful colors to Utah's landscape, including bright-red kokanee salmon that swim up many of our rivers and streams each fall.

If you'd like to see these unique fish during their migration, here are two free events you shouldn't miss:

Kokanee Salmon Viewing — Strawberry Reservoir

Saturday, Sept. 19 from 9 a.m.–3 p.m.

Witness one of Utah’s most incredible wildlife journeys! Join the DWR on Saturday, Sept. 19, from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m., at the Strawberry Reservoir Visitor Center to see bright-red kokanee salmon migrating up the Strawberry River.

Kokanee Salmon Viewing — Fish Lake

Saturday, Sept. 26 from 3–7 p.m.

The DWR will also be holding a free viewing event at Fish Lake on Saturday, Sept. 26 from 3 to 7 p.m. Located at the Twin Creek picnic area, this family-friendly event gives you a clear view of the salmon as they travel upstream to spawn.
