Baker Reservoir: Catchable-sized rainbow trout have been stocked. There haven't been any recent fishing reports from anglers. (11-16-18)
Barker Reservoirs (North Creek Lakes): The Willow Bottom reservoirs are closed to fishing until April 2019. See the Boulder Mountain report for techniques/tackle. (11-16-18)
Beaver Mountain Lakes: There haven't been any recent reports from anglers. (11-16-18)
Beaver River, Lower: Brown trout get aggressive in the fall as they prepare to spawn. Streamers, egg patterns, spinners and flashy lures can produce well. (11-16-18)
Beaver River, Upper: Small brown and rainbow trout are abundant. Try catching them with small spinners and flies. (11-16-18)
Boulder Mountain: Several Boulder Mountain lakes are closed to fishing until April 2019. Check the Utah Fishing Guidebook to see which lakes are closed. Snow has limited access to some areas, especially the Boulder Top. Recent cold temperatures have also resulted in thin ice on many lakes. Fall provides some of the best fishing of the year as the water cools down and fish get more aggressive. Fair to good fishing can be found across the mountain. Spincasting anglers should try marabou jigs, tube jigs, Gulp minnows, spinners, Jake's and Kastmasters. Focus on natural baits like nightcrawlers or cut bait. (This is especially effective for large tigers and splake.) Fly anglers should bring an assortment of streamers, terrestrials, beadhead nymphs and your favorite dry patterns. Most Boulder lakes are full of freshwater shrimp, so scuds are a must in your fly box. (11-16-18)
Clear Creek: Bonneville cutthroat trout are abundant throughout Clear Creek and its tributaries. Anglers report good to excellent fishing with nymphs and small streamers. (11-16-18)
Corn Creek: Brown trout get aggressive in the fall as they prepare to spawn. Streamers, egg patterns, spinners and flashy lures can produce well. (11-16-18)
Duck Creek Pond / Aspen Mirror Lake: There haven't been any recent reports from anglers. (11-16-18)
East Fork Sevier River in Kingston Canyon: The flow is below 15 cfs — perfect for fishing. Brown trout get aggressive in the fall as they prepare to spawn. Streamers, egg patterns, spinners and flashy lures can produce well. Call the Circle Valley Anglers fly shop at 435-577-2168 for up-to-date conditions and fishing reports. (11-16-18)
East Fork Sevier River, Black Canyon: Brown trout get aggressive in the fall as they prepare to spawn. Streamers, egg patterns, spinners, and flashy lures can produce well. Call the Circle Valley Anglers fly shop at 435-577-2168 for up-to-date conditions and fishing reports. (11-16-18)
East Fork Sevier River, Upper: The East Fork and most of its tributaries upstream of Tropic Reservoir have abundant brown, rainbow and brook trout. They can provide some great fishing opportunities with flies, lures and natural baits. We have begun work to restore native Bonneville cutthroat trout in this drainage. Blubber and Upper Kanab creeks were recently treated with rotenone to remove non-native fish. Fishing opportunities will be limited in those streams until cutthroat trout are established in the next three to four years. (11-16-18)
Enterprise Reservoir, Upper: Water levels are fairly low in both reservoirs. The water level is well below the boat ramp at the upper reservoir, so only small boats can be launched. Smallmouth bass are active and you can catch them on curly-tail grubs or Ned rigs. (11-16-18)
Fish Lake: Anglers may not harvest or possess kokanee salmon through Nov. 30. Boat launching opportunities are limited due to ice in the marinas. Before you head to the lake, call the Fish Lake Lodge at 435-638-1000 to check on current conditions and get up-to-date fishing reports. (11-16-18)
Forsyth Reservoir: The reservoir has mostly filled after being drawn down to fairly low levels earlier in the summer. It appears that a fair number of trout survived the low water, although fishing remains slow right now. (11-16-18)
Fremont River: Brown trout get aggressive in the fall as they prepare to spawn. Streamers, egg patterns, spinners and flashy lures can produce well. (11-16-18)
Gunlock Reservoir: Visit the Gunlock State Park website for boat ramp hours. Largemouth bass fishing has been fair to good for fish that weigh up to two pounds. A few crappie have also been caught recently. The fish re-stocked after the 2015 treatment to remove smallmouth bass have experienced exceptional spawning and growth. Conditions should continue to improve at Gunlock over the next year. (11-16-18)
Gunnison Bend Reservoir: Anglers report fair fishing for a number of species at Gunnison Bend and DMAD. Try using small jigs and nightcrawlers. (11-16-18)
Iron County Community Fisheries: Rainbow trout have been stocked at the Lake at the Hills fishery in Cedar City. (11-16-18)
Johnson Reservoir: You'll find slow fishing and not much fishing pressure. Call the Quiet Fly Fisher fly shop at 435-616-2319 for up-to-date conditions and fishing reports. (11-16-18)
Kolob Reservoir: The reservoir was mostly drained and treated with rotenone to remove illegally stocked yellow perch, green sunfish and bluegill. Trout will be re-stocked as early as possible in spring 2019. (11-16-18)
Koosharem Reservoir: The reservoir has been completely drained for irrigation use. (11-16-18)
Lower Bowns Reservoir: There haven't been any recent reports from anglers. Call the Quiet Fly Fisher fly shop at 435-616-2319 for up-to-date conditions and fishing reports. (11-16-18)
Mammoth Creek: Be aware that private land in Hatch Meadow has been posted closed to trespassing, so Mammoth Creek is not accessible there. Brown trout get aggressive in the fall as they prepare to spawn. Streamers, egg patterns, spinners and flashy lures can produce well. (11-16-18)
Mill Meadow Reservoir: There haven't been any recent reports from anglers. Call the Quiet Fly Fisher fly shop at 435-616-2319 for up-to-date conditions and fishing reports. (11-16-18)
Minersville Reservoir: Anglers report fair fishing for trout. Try trolling streamers on sinking line or behind a bubble on spinning gear. Drifting nymphs under a strike indicator also works well. (11-16-18)
Monroe Mountain Lakes: Catchable-sized rainbow trout have been stocked at the Box Creek reservoirs and north-end lakes (i.e., Big, Deep and Anabella lakes). (11-16-18)
Navajo Lake: The water level is fairly low and weeds are thick. This is making shoreline fishing difficult. (11-16-18)
Newcastle Reservoir: Anglers report slow fishing. (11-16-18)
Otter Creek Reservoir & State Park: The reservoir is slowly filling, but it is still at just 20 percent of capacity. Fishing should improve as the water cools and the reservoir fills. (11-16-18)
Panguitch Lake: The advisory for harmful algal blooms has been lifted. The water is clearing up but may still be a little murky as the algae dies off and settles out. Fishing is fair to good in the morning and late afternoon but slows down during the mid-day hours. You can catch rainbow trout on popular baits (i.e., PowerBait and nightcrawlers). If you're targeting larger cutthroat and tiger trout, try dark-green tube jigs, swimbaits and cut bait. (11-16-18)
Paragonah Reservoir: Tiger trout are growing well and providing some fun action. Anglers have reported good fishing with flies and lures for fish ranging from 12 to 15 inches long. (11-16-18)
Pine Lake: There haven't been any recent reports from anglers, but look for fishing success to improve as the water cools down. (11-16-18)
Piute Reservoir: The daily trout limit at Piute Reservoir has been raised to eight fish through the remainder of 2018 due to extremely low water. The reservoir is still at three percent of capacity, with a depth of only 10 feet. There are some 14- to 15-inch rainbow trout available. The water level is below the end of the boat ramp, which makes boat launching very difficult. (11-16-18)
Quail Lake: Bass fishing is fair to good. Check the Sand Hollow report for techniques. (11-16-18)
Sand Hollow Reservoir: Largemouth bass fishing is fair to good. Bass are holding at depths of 30 to 40 feet. Spinnerbaits, swim baits, crankbaits and Texas-rigged soft plastics are all good choices. (11-16-18)
Sevier River in Marysvale Canyon: Releases from Piute Reservoir are at 50 cfs, providing ideal flows for fishing. Brown trout get aggressive in the fall as they prepare to spawn. Streamers, egg patterns, spinners and flashy lures can produce well. (11-16-18)
Thousand Lake Mountain: There haven't been any recent reports from anglers. Call the Quiet Fly Fisher fly shop at 435-616-2319 for up-to-date conditions and fishing reports. (11-16-18)
Tropic Reservoir: The water level is very low. (11-16-18)
Washington County Community Fisheries: Trout stocking has begun and will continue periodically through the cold months. (11-16-18)
Wide Hollow Reservoir: The reservoir is slowly filling. There haven't been any recent reports from anglers. We began introducing black crappie in 2017 in order to establish a new population for anglers to target. If you catch any crappie, please release them so that they can spawn. (11-16-18)
Yankee Meadow Reservoir: Rainbow, brook and cutthroat trout are abundant and providing fair to good fishing. For brook trout, try fishing deep with marabou jigs, woolly buggers, Gulp minnows and nightcrawlers. (11-16-18)
