Opioid safety for Veterans with chronic pain (required)
This required course promotes evidence-based techniques to improve patient outcomes for Veterans with chronic pain and decrease complications associated with opioid prescribing. The web-based training is suitable for pharmacy professionals, physicians, and other clinicians.
Preventing suicide through lethal means safety and safety planning (recommended)
This course provides lethal-means safety training and resources for mental health and suicide prevention clinicians. The web-based training is suitable for mental health professionals, physicians, and nurses.

Preventing suicides among Veterans who receive VA community care
Most Veterans who die by suicide did not have recent appointments at a VA facility. This course outlines pilot data from a recent project that aimed to implement lethal means safety counseling into community health systems. It’s suitable for mental health professionals, social workers, physicians, nurses, pharmacy professionals, and health care professionals.

Assessing and treating anger in the context of PTSD
This live, knowledge-based webinar will help clinicians think about how to assess and treat anger among Veterans with PTSD. It will cover several psychometrically valid assessments of anger, discussing how to best incorporate self-report findings in treatment and measurement-based care. It’s suitable for nurses, physicians, certified counselors, social workers, and psychologists.
