Refreshed community provider website to launch |
|
|
VA is updating the look and organization of the VA community provider website in the coming weeks. The redesign will help you find important information more easily.
When the new site launches, some page addresses will change. We will redirect from the old addresses for a short time, but you’ll need to update your bookmarks so you can continue accessing your most-used resources.
The homepage will remain available at the link below.

External Provider Scheduling (EPS) lets VA book directly into your scheduling system, and it includes each authorized referral number. This gives Veterans faster access to appointments while keeping your schedule and data fully under your control.
The American Medical Association (AMA) says “EPS may help your practice by reducing the staff time spent coordinating initial appointments with VA, making it easier to fill available scheduling blocks, and helping Veterans secure appointments faster.”
“It also may improve staff experience by reducing duplicative scheduling work while maintaining control over what provider availability VA can see and use.”

As you care for Veterans, please encourage them to step back from screen time occasionally to be more present. Too much screen time affects sleep, increases stress, and makes it harder to focus, affecting their overall whole health.
Take a moment to highlight VA resources for Veteran patients that communicate the benefits of being mindful and taking a “media fast.” It can be as simple as setting aside time every day to unplug, practice meditation, or spend time with people they care about. These can give Veterans a greater sense of balance.
