VA now uses digital explanations of payment (EOPs) for providers who submit claims directly to VA. Digital EOPs offer faster access to payment details and reduce paperwork. They are available through the Electronic Claims Adjudication and Management System (eCAMS) Provider Portal (ePP).
Get started with digital EOPs by visiting the eCAMS Provider Portal, reviewing the registration prerequisites, and following the step‑by‑step guide located in the training documents section.
You may still opt to receive paper EOPs after creating an ePP account. If you’re unable to register, you can request paper EOPs by emailing eCAMSHDSupport@va.gov with your National Provider Identifier (NPI), a VA claim transaction control number (TCN), and contact information. Call 877-881-7618 if you need help.

VA’s External Provider Scheduling (EPS) system makes it easier to schedule appointments with Veterans. EPS securely connects to your existing scheduling system, allowing VA staff to book the appointment slots you choose to share digitally. This cuts down on phone calls, helps Veterans see their preferred providers (that’s you!), and frees up more time for patient care.
“By incorporating MUSC’s specialists directly into the VA scheduling platform, we’ve drastically reduced delays in consults and increased transparency for both patients and care teams,” says Dr. Edward O’Bryan, Associate Professor of Medicine at the Medical University of South Carolina (MUSC). “Allowing VA staff to view and book community appointments will empower schedulers, reduce wait times, and improve outcomes.”
Join over 27,000 providers across 78 specialties nationwide already in EPS. Have questions? Email us at EPSProvider@va.gov.

Explain to Veterans how moving their body provides a host of benefits to their health.
An active lifestyle can reduce fatigue, improve sleep, ease anxiety and depression, and support brain health. It also lowers inflammation and the risk of chronic conditions such as heart disease, type 2 diabetes, hypertension, and obesity – offering a natural, accessible path to better health for many Veterans, especially those at higher risk.
You can play a key role by empowering your Veteran patients to move in ways that feel meaningful to them. Every stretch, step, and stride can help them build a healthier, more fulfilling life.
