AudioCARE Prefill, is coming to SAVAHCS starting October 15, 2025!
A new prescription medication refill and renewal service, called AudioCARE Prefill, is coming to SAVAHCS starting October 15, 2025!
AudioCARE Prefill is a system that uses automated text messages or phone calls to notify Veterans when their prescription medication is due for a refill.
- A text message or phone call is sent when a prescription needs to be refilled
- Automated messaging will give the option to refill or renew prescriptions
- All Veterans who have a valid phone number on file will be enrolled, there is no need to sign up!
- Veterans can opt-out of the Prefill program by replying “STOP” via text (future update will include phone call opt-out option)
What medications are not included?
- Controlled substances – continue to request these medicines through MyHealtheVet or the automated refill line
- Medications that are used for short periods of time, like antibiotics
