Veterans who are enrolled in VA health care have access to wide-ranging services, from checkups to surgeries to home health care and telehealth services. If you or a Veteran you know is not enrolled, here’s how to apply for VA health care:

  1. Check your eligibility. 
  2. Gather all necessary information. 
  3. Start your application. 

After reviewing the application, VA will mail the Veteran a letter to let them know whether the application has been approved. Following approval, the Veteran receives coverage for the services they need to get—and stay—healthy.

For your convenience, you can also apply in person at a VA medical center or clinic near you.
