Sign-In Transition Date Extended to March 4

Hello Nebraska & Western Iowa VA Veteran,

The VA has extended the deadline for the My HealtheVet user ID and password from January 31, 2025, to March 4, 2025. This means that Veterans and beneficiaries will not be able to use their My HealtheVet user ID and password to sign in to VA.gov, VA mobile apps, or any VA online services after March 4, 2025.

You will need to create a Login.gov or ID.me account to continue to access your information online including secure messaging, online prescription refills, appointment reminders and medical records.

You can register for an account yourself by utilizing either of the above links, but if you need in-person support to help create the account, please stop in at one of the following VA locations for assistance (no appointment needed)…

 

  • Grand Island VA Medical Center: 2201 N Broadwell Ave, Grand Island, NE 68803
    • Thursday, Feb. 20, 10 a.m. – 1 p.m., Main Entrance (next to Fireplace)
  • Omaha VA Medical Center: 4101 Woolworth Ave, Omaha, NE 68105
    • Monday – Friday, 8 a.m. – 3 p.m. at the Virtual Health Resource Center (ACC, Room G050), next to Women’s Health
  • Lincoln VA Clinic: 420 Victory Park Drive, Lincoln, NE 68510
    • Every Wednesday & Friday, 9 a.m. – 2 p.m. at the Virtual Health Resource Center (Room to the right of main entrance)
  • Norfolk VA Clinic: 3204 Raasch Drive, Norfolk, NE 68701
    • Tuesday, Feb. 25, 9:30 a.m. – 1 p.m., Lobby
  • Shenandoah VA Clinic: 2043 A. Avenue, Shenandoah, IA 51601
    • Thursday, Feb. 27, 8:30 a.m. – 2 p.m., Lobby
  • Holdrege VA Clinic: 1118 Burlington St, Holdrege, NE 68949
    • Tuesday, April 1 & Wednesday, April 2 (Times to be determined)
  • North Platte VA Clinic: 300 East 3rd St, Suite 302, North Platte, NE 69101
    • Thursday, April 3 & Friday, April 4 (Times to be determined)

For Veterans who don’t want to make this transition, you won’t lose any stored information, and you can still manage your information by phone, mail, or in-person. To request a prescription refill by phone, call 1-855-560-1722 and follow directions when prompted. There will be an option to speak to someone live if needed.
