What is the PACT Act?
The PACT Act is a law that expands VA health care and benefits for Veterans exposed to burn pits, Agent Orange, and other toxic substances.
Before the PACT Act, to get a VA disability rating, your disability must connect to your military service. But for some conditions, we automatically assume (or “presume”) that your service caused your condition. We call these “presumptive conditions.”
See the list of presumptive conditions here.

What is Toxic Exposure Screening?
The screening is a series of questions that averages 5-10 minutes and can occur as part of one of your regular health care appointments.
