Get Care Now with VA Health Chat

Dear Veteran,

When you have a health care concern or question, you want to speak with someone immediately. If you’re sick, you might not want to get out of bed or drive to a clinic. The VA Health Chat app makes it easy to get help wherever you are. All you need is your smartphone, tablet, or computer.

We are excited to announce that VA Health Chat is now available to you in VISN 7. This service will offer the Clinical Triage and Scheduling and Administration chat channels. The Clinical Triage chat channel allows you to ask questions about non-life-threatening injuries or illnesses. The Scheduling and Administration chat channel allows you to schedule VA appointments or ask other administrative questions. VA staff will respond in minutes.

To access the app, visit the VA Health Chat page on the VA App Store and either launch it in your web browser or download it from the Apple App Store or Google Play. You can visit the VA Health Chat page by scanning the QR code below.

Hours vary by location, but you can connect with VA staff in most participating locations Monday to Friday, 8:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. local time, excluding federal holidays. In some locations, staff are available on weekends or 24/7.

VA Health Chat services are offered at no additional cost.

For security reasons, you’ll need to sign in to the app with VA-supported credentials. You may use your Login.gov, ID.me, My HealtheVet Premium, or DS Logon Level 2 (Premium) account.
