Get Care Now with VA Health Chat

Dear Veteran,

The VA Health Chat app lets you easily connect with VA staff online. Through the app, you can talk to a real person to ask questions about your health concerns. You can get medical advice for non-life-threatening injuries or illnesses. You can even schedule VA appointments, refill VA prescriptions, and more. VA Health Chat services are offered at no additional cost.

We are excited to announce that VA Health Chat in VISN 4 now offers a Pharmacy Support channel. This channel allows you to ask questions about your VA prescriptions and request refills. VA staff will respond in minutes. You will continue to have access to the Clinical Triage, Scheduling and Administration, and Virtual Clinic Visit (Urgent Care) channels.

Hours vary by location, but you can connect with VA staff in most participating locations Monday to Friday, 8:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. local time, excluding federal holidays. In some locations, staff are available on weekends or 24/7.

To access the app, sign in to My HealtheVet. A blue VA Health Chat message box will appear in the lower right corner of the My HealtheVet page if the app is available to you. You can also access VA Health Chat on the VA App Store or download it from the Apple App Store or Google Play. For security reasons, you’ll need to sign in to the app with VA-supported credentials. You may use your,, My HealtheVet Premium, or DS Logon Level 2 (Premium) account.
