The Vaccination Center in 'The Egg' in Building 165 will close operations Friday afternoon, December 1st. COVID-19 and flu vaccinations will be available in all clinical areas.
Take the opportunity to get your flu shot during CDC's National Influenza Vaccination Week (NIVW)!
NIVW is observed December 4 – 8. This serves as a reminder that everyone 6 months and older still has time to get vaccinated against flu to be protected during the holidays and approaching flu season.

2023-2024 COVID-19 Vaccine Information
VA is offering the 2023-2024 COVID-19 Moderna vaccine to enrolled Veterans only. It will protect people from strains of COVID-19 circulating now. It will also protect people from severe illness and hospitalization due to COVID-19.
- COVID-19 vaccines are available in all clinic areas. COVID-19 vaccines are available in limited supply at the CBOCs.
- Please call 562-826-5151 from 7:30 AM – 7:00 PM to schedule.

Who is eligible? Enrolled Veterans over the age of 18.
- If it has been at least two months since your last COVID-19 shot, you are eligible for the updated 2023-2024 COVID-19 vaccination.

Never been vaccinated for COVID-19? You now only need one shot to get vaccinated!
Flu Shots
- Standard dose and high dose flu vaccines are available. High dose vaccines are recommended for everyone age 65 and older.
- Flu shots are available in any clinic.
Use the VA Locator to find pharmacies or urgent care clinics offering free flu and COVID-19 shots to enrolled Veterans. Please call to confirm that the pharmacy or clinic is participating in the program. Bring 1) a valid state issued ID and 2) current VA ID to the appointment.
 Are you a Veteran with PTSD? If so, you may qualify for a research study investigating the effectiveness of the Stellate Ganglion Block (SGB) for PTSD. Those who are interested can contact the research coordinator at brianna.caicedo@va.gov or at 562-826-8000 ext. 13590.
 
This November for Veterans Month, the National Cemetery Administration is embarking on the largest expansion of the number of Veterans’ pages for its award-winning website, the Veterans Legacy Memorial, since its inception in May 2019. By adding nearly 5 million pages of Veterans interred in private and other non-VA cemeteries who received a NCA-provided headstone, marker or medallion, VLM will host nearly 10 million total Veteran pages.

 The Veterans Legal Institute is partnering with VA Long Beach Healthcare System for a Legal Clinic on Friday, December 1st from 9 a.m. - 10:30 a.m. in Building 165, Rm C209B at Tibor Rubin VA Medical Center.
