Know the signs of a crisis.
Every Veteran is different, but some actions and behaviors can be a sign that a Veteran needs help. These may include:
- Anxiety, agitation, sleeplessness or mood swings
- Feeling as if there is no reason to live
- Feeling excessive guilt, shame or sense of failure
- Feeling sad or depressed most of the time
- Hopelessness
- Increasing alcohol or drug misuse
- Rage or anger
