Fellow Veterans will partner with you to lend help and encouragement on your pathway to Whole Health. As Marine Veteran Alex Stallworth said, “I could never have told my story if there were no ears that wanted to listen.” Stallworth found hope through Whole Health, recovering from addiction and homelessness, and is one of many Veteran volunteers trained to assist other Veterans in taking charge of their health.

Lung cancer is the leading cause of cancer-related deaths among Veterans, and screening can be lifesaving because lung cancer is most treatable when caught early. Watch a Veterans story about how early detection saved his life.
You might be eligible for lung cancer screening if you:
· Are 50-80 years old
· Smoke cigarettes now or quit within the past 15 years
· Have a smoking history of at least 20 pack-years (this means 1 pack per day for 20 years or 2 packs a day for 10 years, etc.)

The Veterans Legal Institute is partnering with VA Long Beach Healthcare System for a Legal Clinic on Friday, December 1st from 9 a.m. - 10:30 a.m. in Building 165, Rm C209B at Tibor Rubin VA Medical Center.
