My HealtheVet is VA’s private and secure online patient portal for Veterans, active duty service members, and their dependents and caregivers. My HealtheVet offers you greater control over your health and wellness, allowing you to:
- View, print or download your VA health records
- Refill your VA prescriptions
- Send secure messages to your VA care team
- View, schedule, and cancel VA appointments
If you do not currently have an account and wish to manage your VA care and benefits in one place, visit My HealtheVet and create a premium account.
Please be sure to log in frequently to your My HealtheVet premium account to avoid losing access to all these important features. If you do not access your account within the past 26 months, your account may be deactivated. If your account is inactive, you will receive an email notification 30 days prior to deactivation. A sample email notification is included below for your awareness.
If your account is deactivated, please contact the My HealtheVet Help Desk to have your account reactivated.
To have your My HealtheVet account upgraded for free to premium status, you can do so in person, online, or with a VA Video Connect appointment. Please contact your VISN 4 facility My HealtheVet coordinator for assistance.

Your My HealtheVet account has been inactive for quite some time and will be deactivated within 30 days.
If you wish to keep your My HealtheVet account, kindly take a moment to sign in to your account before it is deactivated. The My HealtheVet ID for this account is below.
Here is how to open your My HealtheVet account:
- Go to https://www.myhealth.va.gov/mhv-portal-web/home and sign in to your My HealtheVet account*
- Select Personal Information near the top of the home page
- Select My Account from the drop-down menu
- Check that the My HealtheVet ID matches the one listed below
(On the My Account page, your My HealtheVet ID will be near the top)
Note: You may have more than one My HealtheVet account.
*Forgot your My HealtheVet User ID and/or Password? You can reset your Password or retrieve your User ID by going to Forgot User ID? or Forgot Password?
