Bay Pines VA Healthcare System Returns to Normal Operation

Dear Veterans, Family Members, and Caregivers –

Bay Pines VA Healthcare System will resume normal operations at all facilities beginning Tuesday, Sept. 5, 2023.

We understand that many appointments were cancelled when we were forced to activate emergency operations ahead of Hurricane Idalia. It’s understandable this decision caused some frustration with many of you; however, your safety will always be foremost when making these tough decisions.

We are working to reschedule appointments that were cancelled over the past week. We will make individual contact with every Veteran over the next several days. The Bay Pines VA Healthcare System Call Center is active 24/7, and Veterans may call the main number 727-398-6661 and select option 2, to reschedule most appointments. As many of you are aware, we utilize VEText as a way to communicate with you through your mobile devices. This service allows you to not only receive messaging related to your appointments, but we also use it to notify you about updates during emergency situations.
