Program Description:

This live, knowledge-based webinar will describe the role of family members in supporting Veterans with mental health conditions and the impact on the family. The presentation will also discuss the role that family members can have in encouraging treatment seeking on the part of Veterans with PTSD and other service-related mental health conditions. Last, the presentation will discuss the development and operation of Coaching Into Care, a VA service that supports family members in their efforts to encourage Veterans who are not in mental health care, to initiate treatment. This training is appropriate for interprofessional healthcare team members.
