National Volunteer Week

April 16-22, 2023, is National Volunteer Week. Every volunteer makes such a difference in our Veterans’ lives and enhances the Veteran experience.

VA has a volunteer position for you. You can volunteer as an individual, in a group, or as a family. Veterans Patient Experience Week: Meet one of our Patient Experience Champions

The VA Augusta Veteran Experience Office asked employees what patient experience means to them and this was Dr. Marshall Bedder's response:

"As a Navy combat Veteran deployed to Kandahar, Afghanistan, I know what our brave men and women have gone through in protecting our interests in the world. I am incredibly proud of what our #Veterans have accomplished and what they have all sacrificed. I serve now at VA Augusta to complete my mission of providing what the motto of the NATO Role 3 Multinational Medical Unit exemplifies: “best care anywhere.” That’s what I and my team provide, to all Veterans. SEMPER FI."
