Ongoing COVID-19 Procedures

Dear Veterans,

The Wilmington VA and its outpatient clinics are operating on COVID-19 Health Protection Level HIGH as of March 7, 2023. This means there are high transmission levels of COVID-19 in our area and certain protocols must be followed to help reduce the spread of infection. During this time, Veterans are asked to:

  1. Wear a mask at all times while in our facilities
  2. Social distance in waiting areas and public areas inside our facilities
  3. Attend your appointment alone or bring 1 caregiver/visitor to your appointment

If you’re feeling ill, please let our team know so we can reschedule your appointment or convert it to telehealth appointment. COVID-19 Health Protection Levels are part of a national policy and apply to all VA facilities. The Health Protection Levels range from LOW, MEDIUM, and HIGH and based on CDC guidelines and CDC transmission levels.

Please keep in mind our facilities may move into lower protection levels as transmission rates fluctuate. We will notify you as soon as there is a change!  We wanted to make you aware of this should you get any questions or concerns. Unfortunately, the media headlines are not portraying the entirety of this policy and its causing confusion and frustration.
